What a registered office is for

It is the official address on the public register. Statutory letters are sent there. It can be different from where the directors live.

Director service addresses

A service address lets a director keep a home address off the public register. Companies House still needs a residential address on the private record.

When the confirmation statement is due

A company usually has a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months. The dashboard shows the date once a company number is saved, and emails begin three days before it.
